Casa Alcoa is located within 30 minutes of Deals Gap — the Tail of the Dragon, Nantahala River whitewater rafting, and hiking on the great forest trails of the Great Smoky Mountains, Joyce Kilmer Forest, and the Appalachian Trail. Highway 129 is “Nirvana” for motorcycle enthusiasts. Deals Gap offers 311 turns in 11 miles! The Miata and Porsche clubs prefer nearby Cherohala Skyway. This road to nowhere rivals the Blue Ridge Parkway. Casa Alcoa provides a great base from which to explore the southeastern Appalachian Mountains. However, you may also be inclined to just relax on the screened porch and read a good book. |
